Jon Newport is the leader of the Private Company Services team, and a key member of the Retirement Plan Audit team. Prior to joining Jones & Roth in 2009, Jon spent over ten years with one of the “Big Four” accounting firms.

Jon has extensive experience providing auditing and accounting services for publicly and privately held companies and organizations in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, dealership, and non-profit industries.

Jon possesses a broad range of technical skills and has extensive experience advising clients on complex accounting issues and transactions. Jon also advises clients in the areas of internal controls, fraud risk assessment, inventory costing, cash flow management, and budgeting. He is also a member of the Assurance Services Department Management Team and Quality Control Committee.

When away from the office, Jon enjoys spending time with his family and supporting University of Oregon athletics. He stays active in his community coaching youth sports.
