Kari is a leader within Jones & Roth’s Nonprofit and Affordable Housing client niches, working closely with nonprofit organizations, affordable housing developers, executive directors, finance leaders, and boards of directors to strengthen financial management, improve governance, and support long-term organizational success. She is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations maximize their impact through financial stewardship, education, and the sharing of best practices.
Kari provides audit, assurance, tax, and consulting services to nonprofit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her experience includes audits, federal single audits, reviews, nonprofit tax preparation, internal control reviews, and board consulting. She understands the unique challenges nonprofit leaders face and enjoys helping organizations navigate compliance requirements while maintaining focus on their mission and community impact.
As a leader in Jones & Roth’s Nonprofit client niche, Kari is widely recognized for her work with nonprofit organizations and is frequently called upon to present to nonprofit leaders and financial teams. She leads the firm’s Nonprofit Roundtable Series, providing complimentary education and resources to nonprofit executives, fiscal managers, and board members throughout Oregon. She believes that sharing knowledge and developing strong organizational leadership helps nonprofits better serve their communities.
Kari is also a leader in the firm’s Affordable Housing client niche, serving organizations that develop, manage, and preserve affordable housing throughout the region. Her experience includes audits, cost certifications, carryover allocations, tax credit calculations, compliance services, and consulting for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD projects. She enjoys helping clients navigate complex regulatory requirements while advancing projects that create stable housing opportunities and strengthen communities.
Known for her collaborative approach and dedication to client success, Kari values building lasting relationships and serving as a trusted resource to nonprofit leaders, affordable housing organizations, and governing boards. As part of Jones & Roth’s proudly independent and Oregon-rooted leadership team, she is committed to making a positive impact for the organizations, communities, and individuals she serves.
Outside of work, Kari enjoys expressing her creativity through baking and painting, and treasures spending time with her family. Whether she’s supporting clients, volunteering in the community, or gathering with loved ones, she believes that strong relationships are at the heart of making a positive and lasting impact.
