New Financial Advisor Joins Team

Jones & Roth is pleased to announce it has recently hired Parker Inabnet as a Financial Advisor. 

“We are delighted to bring aboard such a talented individual,” said Doug Griesel, Managing Shareholder, Jones & Roth.   “The environment here is extremely client-centric and service oriented.  We welcome Parker’s strengths in these areas. ”

Inabnet has more than seven years of wealth management experience. He will focus on private wealth management for families, individuals and closely-held businesses. 

Inabnet will perform a variety of other services including business succession planning, disability insurance planning, 401K and profit sharing management.  Inabnet comes to Jones & Roth after having owned a financial planning practice in Denver and New Orleans for over five years.

Inabnet graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.

Senior Tax Manager Joins Team

Jones & Roth is pleased to announce Betsy Marler has joined the firm as a Senior Tax Manager.

With over 20 years of experience in the field of taxation, Marler has expertise in working with individuals and small businesses, including sole proprietorships, limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships, as well as estates and trusts.  Marler was previously a partner with the Kafoury, Armstrong & Co. accounting firm in its Reno, Nevada office.

Marler earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of California and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California, Nevada and Oregon.

She holds a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Gold Gate University.  Marler is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Service to Oregon and the Accounting Profession

Jens A. Andersen, a partner and shareholder with Jones & Roth, was recently recognized for his six years of service on the Oregon Board of Accountancy. 

The Oregon State Board of Accountancy regulates the practice of public accounting in Oregon.  The Board has seven members which include five Certified Public Accountants, one licensed attorney and one public member.  Jens was appointed to the Board by the Governor of Oregon and served two, three year appointments between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2008. 

 

Jens began his accounting career in 1976 and joined Jones & Roth in 1978.  He leads Jones & Roth’s Healthcare Team and works closely with health care providers and emerging businesses.

Jones & Roth, CPAs and Business Consultants, is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to the team.     

“We’re happy to see our team continue to grow,” said Doug Griesel, Managing Shareholder. “In times like these, clients are actively seeking the added value that our family of services can provide.”

Sarah Fantazia  has joined the Hillsboro office as a Staff Accountant.  Fantazia graduated from  Portland State University with a degree in accounting.  She started as an Intern in September 2008 and was promoted to Staff Accountant in January 2009. 

Anthony Richards and Rianna Ruschman have joined the Eugene office as Staff Accountants. Richards has been working as an Intern in the Business Valuation / Litigation niche since March 2008.  He is pursuing a double major in accounting and finance at the University of Oregon. Ruschman graduated from the University of Oregon with a double major in accounting and marketing and a minor in economics.  

Jessica Noffsinger joins the Hillsboro office as a Financial Services Assistant.  Noffsinger graduated from the University of Oregon with a major in music and a minor in art history. She formerly worked in administrative support roles and has extensive experience in client services and office administration.

“We continue to seek out the best and brightest to help us to push the limits on our value added services as a CPA and business consulting firm.  We are excited to welcome Sarah, Jessica, Anthony and Rianna,” Griesel commented.

The Register Guard newspaper recently conducted a Reader’s Choice survey.  The survey asked people to vote for their favorite local companies and events in several categories such as Entertainment, Retailing, Community events, etc. Professional Services was also one of the categories included in the survey. According to the Register Guard over 28,000 votes were cast. Jones & Roth placed #1 in the “Most Helpful Tax Preparation Service” category under Professional Services. We were also #3 in the “Most Steadfast Financial Planning Firm” category.

The newspaper officially announced all the winners on April 11 in a special tabloid section of the paper and on the Register Guard website.

These awards are positive recognition of the quality services Jones & Roth delivers to its clients and the level of client support that is provided by its team. 

Carrie Fortier Promoted to Senior Manager

Carrier Fortier has recently been promoted to Senior Manager at Jones & Roth, CPA and Business Consulting firm.  Fortier has been with Jones & Roth for over eight years starting as a staff accountant upon her graduation from the University of Oregon. She focuses primarily on construction and real estate clients, providing accounting, tax, assurance, and other business consulting services.

Lorri Craig Joins Jones & Roth

Jones & Roth Financial Advisors, LLC announced Lorri Craig has joined the firm as a financial advisor and will locate in the firm’s Bend office. 

Craig is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with over ten years experience helping clients with financial planning, investment guidance, wealth management and asset protection.

“Lorri is a great addition to our team”, said Scott Barker, financial advisors partner and financial services director.  “Her knowledge and skills will allow her to create a superior customer experience by meeting, and exceeding, the needs of our clients,” he added.

Prior to joining Jones & Roth, Craig was a financial planner with MetLife in Central Oregon.  In that role, she created in-depth plans to help clients meet their financial objectives through the use of products such as mutual funds, annuities, life insurance and retirement plans.

“The Jones & Roth client service model is exciting.  It allows me to offer a much broader range of integrated services to my clients, all within the Jones & Roth Family of Services,” Craig pointed out.

Jones & Roth Financial Advisors, LLC announced that Terri Morates and Jolene Mosure have joined the firm as Financial Services Assistants.  Morates will locate in the Bend office of Jones & Roth while Mosure will base in the firm’s Eugene office.

Most recently Morates, a Bend resident, served as a personal marketing assistant at MetLife Financial Services.  Morates has more than 20 years of business experience.  Mosure formerly worked in administrative support roles at a local investment firm and has extensive experience in client services and office administration.

Kelsi Griesel Joins Jones & Roth

Jones & Roth is pleased to announce it has recently hired Kelsi Griesel as a Tax Manager.  Griesel will focus on assisting business and individual clients with tax return preparation.  In addition, she will perform a variety of other services for Jones & Roth clients including trust and estate planning.  Her experience has given her a strong background in taxation issues related to closely held businesses and high net-worth individuals.  She graduated from Linfield College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and from the University of Oregon with a Masters of Accounting degree.

Firm Hires Learning & Career Development Manager

Lisa Rivet has joined Jones & Roth as the firm’s Learning & Career Development Manager.  Rivet is a certified performance coach and development facilitator and has over 20 years of experience in the areas of human resources, administration, staff development and training. 

Rivet will provide performance management and employee training for employees in all Jones and Roth offices, Bend, Eugene and Hillsboro.
