Jones & Roth team members honored for community service

Two well deserved community service awards were presented to Alyce Dawes and Jerry Willey at the Hillsboro Chamber's annual awards dinner.

Jerry, a partner and shareholder, received the Bob Herb Leadership Awards for his two decades of service to the Hillboro and Washington County community.

"Jerry's leadership over the past couple of decades has earned him this award," Bob Herb commented. He added, "Through the years Jerry has showed consistent leadership, tremendous attitude, and a generous spirit in giving back his time and energy".

"Jerry has been actively involved in many organizations and causes over the years, according to Hillsboro City Manager Tim Erwert. "He is always more than willing to give both time and money for good causes in the city," Erwert added.

Alyce, a Jones and Roth senior manager, was honored with the Chamber's Volunteer of the Year Award.

Alyce has served six years on the Chamber's Leadership Advisory Council, including the past three years as Council Chair. "Alyce is just a high quality person; no matter what issue or cause, she is always the first to take positive steps to get it done," Keith Peal, chamber board chairman, pointed out.

Additionally, Alyce has volunteered for numerous other Chamber projects and events.
